ITS IMPORTANT TO HARBOUR POSITIVE THOUGHTS

Healthy foodHere I am again. In focusing on my intellectual well-being, I have started a ten week online coaching course. It is intense, lots of reading and exercises which include written tasks, listening to audios and videos. Amazing this also looked at identity, values, thoughts, emotions and making good choices which is not far removed from some of the experiences in the healing school. What is clear on this journey of wholeness and well-being is the significant role I have to play despite the unfortunate health issues. The coaching course is helping me to examine my current position, the vision for my future and ways I am able to map the path way to overcome the gap. It keeps me focused on where I want to be and not just to sit with regret, self-pity and anger which are negative emotions that produce harmful chemicals which will damage my body cells worsening the condition and develop other diseases. I am now able to have a clear view of my live and exactly where I want to be over different periods of time. This enabled me to be setting realistic measurable goals for the path accordingly.

In order to move forward I had to examine my values, gifts, talents, uniqueness and obstacles before making major choices. In applying this approach I am much more aware of self and why my health had deteriorated in the past. I am learning to make better choices as a result I am getting stronger and wiser.

Another important dimension to my journey is my thought life. It is important to harbour positive thoughts and reject negative ones, as a man thinketh so is he. We are bombarded my many thoughts every day, some are negative and some are positive. In fact scientists stated that 600 negative thoughts hits our mind daily and we learned enough garbage by the age of six years to negatively influence us for the rest of our lives, but we don’t have to take them on board. We can choice which ones to entertain. What we believe determines what we become. The paradigm at work is beliefs generate thoughts which generate emotion followed by behaviour.

We cannot change the past but we can take control of our thoughts and belief through self-talk, unlearn all the negatives and lay down new network in the brain.

I continue to apply the teaching I learned at the healing school, my legs are getting stronger yesterday I went into the bank and the cashier said, ‘you are looking and walking better’. Sometimes all the symptoms return with a vengeance, but I continue to focus on the positives by meditating on healing scriptures and practicing what I could not do. Now I am rejecting all negative thoughts. I spent a day with my sister and she was very positive about my appearance and mobility. The last time she saw me at our uncle’s funeral she had to assist me to the pulpit to read the scripture.

I have come to appreciate that we are stewards of our of lives we will be judged on how we use our time and resources.
